Number Plate Retention

Apologies if this has been already been raised but I wanted to bring attention to the new online retention system. On 30th August I put my number on retention using the new online system and the change is instant. I could literally have done this at the point of selling the car. You can put the old plates on as soon as you've paid and the MOT history is updated online with the original number of the car. New registration document arrived Saturday morning and retention certificate this morning. Just thought this may help those who are used to the old system that could take a couple of weeks.
