R75s are now "classics" - but we knew that...

Lots of muddy country roads and maybe no undertray ?
Interesting that they do not show a spare wheel or toolkit in their pictures and no mention in the text it has been removed for the photographs? |

With the amount of MOT failures it’s had in the past, I wouldn’t say it’s been well maintained? Mick

It really depends on what the failures are. My mechanic (who does free re-tests) always says to me that he will put it in for the test even when I tell him of the odd thing that i know needs sorting (lightbulbs lights on dash etc), so mine may show failures in the past, but not through neglect. I am just not mechanically minded - prefer driving them!

Picked up my first 75 yesterday, a 2003 1.8 Club SE and added it to my classic car policy with no problems. I have 3 other cars on that policy which are all older than the Rover. Maybe I got preferential treatment as an existing customer (of over 15 years now) or maybe they are now being accepted?

Come on, please learn to recogise a genuine classic. This car comes with classic pig sh*** coating of the engine bay components. What more could a prospective owner looking for a classic ask for? The amount of rust and signs of dampness in the boot are telling. Quote:
Agreed. I see that the MOT fail was last July and it has not passed since. To me the MOT history just says 'a neglected old Rover 75'.
