Default CDTI Valeo Alternator Conundrum 115/120amp?

I purchased a Valeo alternator advertised as 120 amp.

It came in a MG Rover box with a label 1x YLE000260.
The label on the alternator body is MG Rover YLE000260E, this overlaid another label A13V1234MG 31/1/2007.

The regulator has three pins, part number 2547164.

My question is, What is the AMP rating of this alternator?

Interesting bit of academic interest there.

Of course it will make no difference to the car.

Will these two pictures below help ???

I thought this would appeal to you! I cannot determine what the output is, it seems to be a hybrid of parts and part numbers. Does the 3 pin regulator rule out 120 amps?

Your alternator is the earlier MG part number YLE102500. It is 115A and was superseded by YLE000260 which is 120A. It would appear that a sticker has been placed over the original with the later MGR part number. The two are compatible so for all practical purposes it will make no difference.

As it is a genuine Valeo, I would prefer it to the Chinese 120A equivalents being sold for around £100.

Many thanks, my original alternator was a 2004 two pin Valeo 120 amps YLE000260. I can live with the loss of five amps.

Again thanks to both of you, I am sure Colvert will add further information.
