Frosty start but a lovely sunny day in prospect here in "the land of the wonky telegraph pole" slowly getting the bungalow sorted but not planning any major decorating until the spring.
My eldest son has just taken delivery of a new Ford transit van and I had a drive in it yesterday, my word the spec of these vans is amazing heated screen/seats aircon satnav etc etc even came with the load area fully ply lined. He ordered it in October and got January delivery because he took any colour (silver) that was available, grandson has one on order as well but because he wanted white he has to wait until June for delivery.

I had a transit in the summer last year and also amazed by the spec as well, think mine had alloys as well, great vans as well.

Thank you Ian for the memory. Back in the days of plenty, part of my remit was to drive the hospital van to take patients on day trips out, a Ford Transit with no power steering, but it did have a lift for wheel chairs. We would take the patients out - service users, into the country side and stop off at tea rooms for snacks and toileting. The hospital gave me a weekly float to buy tea and cakes.

Years later the Trust closed the unit down as it became too expensive to run. A big loss to the local community. At the time it was considered to be a flagship in the care of people suffering with Alzheimer’s Disease. We had 30 beds, 2 of which were kept for respite, the other beds were for long term and end stage care.

Cool

As the weather was gorgeous today I took a drive out to Bude. Lovely walk by the canal and across the beach and up onto the cliff walk. Loads of people out walking, people are everso friendly as well.

Home to the lovely aroma of the beef and ale casserole cooking in the slow cook.

Bloomin’ ‘ansum.

Morning all, Another frosty morning out there, Up with the larks this morning Our daughter is using our MG ZS EV whilst her car is cream crackered (clutch) & the electric handbrake wouldn't release so she woke me up, She hadn't closed the door properly & the car wont release the handbrake until it's closed properly. Tea & toast time.
