I too was going to say valve or core, had this type of issue on my last car, on a set of brand new tyres, issue was tyre was letting out air very slowly, it was only when you removed the valve cap you could hear the air escape.

It’s a simple fix!!

It’s either the tyre, the valve or the wheel!

Tyre pressure monitoring systems! far too many driver "aids" on these modern cars, which just end up costing you money when they fail (which they usually do, just after the expiration of the warranty!). If all else fails, a replacement from the scrappers (sorry, vehicle recycling centre!).

Default Resolution

Just to wrap this up the owner informed me yesterday that she's taken a chance and bought a new tyre three weeks ago. So far the tyre pressure warning system hasn't activated so I think the problem is resolved.

I've never come across a leak like this before which proved impossible to trace with the usual methods.
