Default Auto-dimming rear view mirror.

A picture is worth a thousand words so here's my rear view mirror. It's a 2005 diesel.

As you can see the lower 80%-ish of the mirror has gone black. It does not respond to light sources. This appears to be a liquid issue as pressing on it with a fingertip will move the dark area around. I assume it's toast, but is it possible to get the liquid out to lighten it up? Or repair it in any way?

Easy and cheap enough to just replace the mirror. drop Mickeyboy a PM as he will most likely have one.

Just to put this thread to bed and give thanks for the help, I sourced a mirror from Mickeyboy and fitted it, a five-minute job, and I've never looked back.

Are you sure the mirror is working then?
