Default For Rover owners to have a happy new year.

Make sure you do this---------------

The fear of travel is really bad
you'll end up twitching or even mad.

To give it up would be a dream
but then you wake and start to scream.

Another day, a day in hell
you'd risk the train but what a smell.

Those unwashed bodies all around
another thing, that awful sound.

People coughing, sneezing germs
you'll never, ever come to terms.

The Covid virus in the air
it settles down you know not where.

Public transport will take you far
but you'd much rather go by car.

Your private quiet lovely space
the grin starts creeping 'cross your face

You snuggle down, you spin the wheel
you rocket off your tyres squeal.

This affair will never be over
because you simply LOVE your Rover.

Signed.=
A nonny mouse.

That made me cry, you so-and-so! Since 22/7 I’ve been firstly on a self-imposed driving ban which a month later was imposed by the medics, following the breaking of my neck.

Given the delays on the NHS an early lifting of the ban seems unlikely. Meanwhile, 19 screws and two plates down my neck and back later, the blessed thing keeps staring at me from the driveway. I swear its winking.

Very sorry to hear you've had fairly serious surgery on your neck and back.--You might have posted something around that time.--If you did I missed it.

Didn't mean to upset anybody. Just a poem I made up about Rover owners liking their cars a lot.--With a bit of topical stuff thrown in for good measure.--

Anyway I hope you are going to have an improving new year.
