Default That was a waste of time

Earlier in the year the wife and I spent days pumping out our pond, about 47ft X 18ft X 2ft6 - 3ft, taking the liner out, catching fish, empting the pond weed and a back braking day loading wheel barrows with rubble and tipping into the empty pond.

Days of rain and a high water table and this, gggrrr
Looked in the well and can see water with the cover only part open. In summer we had to remove the cover to see the water

Thanks I'm "sure" come summer it will have gone.
A neighbour has to keep pumping their cellar out, I think they said they need to do it until March.

If that's the naturel water level it's mostly going to stay like that.---It's amazing how many people live just above the natural water level and are never aware of it.--Patio coming up ???

At least you can take the fish out of the bath now.

water level does drop. We have a pond/lake in the field and it dropped a couple of feet during summer and has only risen this last month. My son in law climbed part way down our well in the summer and it was more then 5 feet down to water. As long as it remains a foot or more below the surface, when we finish filling and grassing the area, it wont turn into a mud bath in winter.

Patio's seem fine.
