Angry Exhaust woes

A little surprised that My rear box seems to have rusted through after only 2 years. The rest of the system looks sound, The strap that holds the back box has rusted through and the whole exhaust was hanging by a thread. It seems the area beneath the strap has exacerbated the rusting. Anyway looks like I'll have to bite the bullet. What price should I be looking at for a back box for a 2.0 CDT. Another blow is I have yet another water leak inside the cabin with drivers and offside passenger footwells saturated. Not a good time of year for these issues. However , I've been here before!
Happy New year to everyone!

Why not bite the bullet and get a stainless exhaust fitted and you can then forget about it. I'm getting mine done next Wednesday morning. And guess where? Leeds 🙂

Tony Banks (Longlife) . They have an excellent reputation, many people on here have used him.He did the system on my 45 4-5 years ago and never had any problems with it.

Quote for my 75 is £299.

No problem at all,you can have faith in their quality and workmanship.I would suggest you ring them for a quote when open as they get inundated and may take a while to get back to you.Your quote may vary as mine is a 1.8T. Good luck. 🙂

Price to supply a good used backbox for a diesel is free

I have two here in my shed. Let me know if you want me to bring them over

I repaired my backbox a while ago and the pipe corroded elsewhere weeks later.

Trikey then recommended a whole new pipe in backbox from Klarius and it was £79+ fitting.

Worth a though.....
