Default Nearside doors mis-behaving

Afternoon All

Recently both nearside doors on my facelift diesel saloon have ceased to unlock via central locking, or using the lock / unlock button inside the car.
They can both be opened manually.

All other doors and the boot lock function normally.

Could both motors on the nearside have packed up at exactly the same time, it seems unlikely but it wouldn't surprise me!

Any thoughts on this one most welcome!

Thanks

Les

Yes, it sounds like the solenoids have gone, I have some if you you need to replace them.

As above. I recently had a solenoid fail on mine, and it gave exactly the same symptoms.

Thanks for the reply. Excuse my ignorance but is the solenoid part of the door actuator or a separate part - changing the actuator sounds fiddly!

The solenoid is an integral part of the actuator, easy when you have done a few, a pain if you haven’t!
I’m about three hours north of you if you want it doing sometime.
