Question Bluetooth Trackers

Anyone got any interest and or experience of the small bluetooth trackers/camera remotes which you can buy on the likes of Lightinthebox for less than £3? My main interest is using one as a camera remote and I've taken a punt on a group buy for this one: Click

The group buy price is £2.36 without any insurance but I think shipping insurance is worth the extra coppers making the total £2.60.

We bought a couple similar to those from our local petrol station for the kids car keys after we misplaced a set (we found them eventually). They were pretty useless as trackers As you had to be in Bluetooth range of your phone and once you pressed the button to activate they shut themselves down after about 5 minutes.

I'm hoping its bluetooth range will be ok for my intended use. Our gas meter I think was fitted by a contortionist and reading it is much easier and less painful using a camera phone to record the readings. I bought a selfie stick at poundland for this purpose but its electrical plug does not fit my phone so I'm hoping to have better success with one of these bluetooth devices.
