Back in the 90's I had a Volvo 760 2.8 V6 estate, got to say ... probably THE best car I've ever owned, it had every conceivable toy, fully loaded with all the factory options, could carry another Volvo in the back! fast, quiet, super comfortable, reliable as a day is long and literally built like the proverbial tank, just ticked so many boxes for me at that time. Personally I think the 7 and the 9 series of Volvo's were the best of the breed, they did exactly what it says on the tin. Don't know anything about the newer versions so can't comment either way but if it ticks pretty much all your boxes and you know exactly what you're getting in to.... go for it.
