Just been standing watching the bird feeders, its mental out there! Four feeders, three with sunflower hearts, one with suet balls. around and queuing for the seeds are various t1ts, greenfinches, goldfinches, bullfinches, chaffinches, on the suet balls feeder is a woodpecker! Below the feeders on the ground hoovering up dropped seeds as well as more finches etc there is a robin, couple of sparrows, a couple of young thrushes, couple of pigeons (could do without them) and a young squirrel. Going to need to introduce one of those queuing ticket systems if this carries on!

Well we managed to cut the grass, walk the dogs but didn’t manage to get the exhaust fitted, that will keep for another day.

Nipping to the Chinese for a treat now 😁

Evening all, I managed to get the back lawns mowed today apart from that and thinning out tomato plants & KILLING slugs dozens of the beggars. half of the flowers in the planters look like a plague of locust have been feasting, Grrr.

Lots of starlings & sparrows at our bird feeder, really nice to see as their numbers have really been down here over the last five years or so.

Pulled pork in barbecue sauce & potato wedgies for tea. I might even partake in a cold bottle of Henry Weston cider later.

Don't see sparrows very often now and as for starlings, used to be squadrons of them around here but I honestly can't remember when I last saw one.

My neighbour came around this evening asking if I could look on my CCTV, he had someone trying his door & window this morning around 5:00am.

Yes not only did I have him on my CCTV but he'd been into our garden

Another neighbour from two doors down saying he'd been trying his front door too, I said I've got his face on screen so he came over & recognized him and could put a name to him.

They're the local "Krays" so he said he'll take care of it

I heard a raised voice but then it went quiet so I assumed it was a drunk going home

I took a pic from the CCTV monitor with my phone camera, It's clear as day on the CCTV recorder.

Evening all, didn’t very out on the bike today after all. Went shopping this afternoon and by the time we got home, I was too tired.
I ended up watching the last hour of the cricket World Cup, I’m not a follower of any kind of sport apart from the WRC, but as there was so little time left and the difference got less and less, I became hooked. A bit like I did at the 2003 rugby World Cup . Time for a bath then bed for me

Morning all - glad to see that someone has put another shilling in the electric meter. I was up and about at 5.55am () but couldn't brag about such an early rise as the Forum was down.
Last early school run until September this morning - they break up for the Summer holidays on Friday.
