Might be worth PM'ing Mickyboy he sourced me a mark 2 steering rack last month in good nick . And for a good price.

4 or 5 years ago I had a weep of power steering fluid on the nearside of the rack. Poured in some reconditioning fluid (swells the rubber in the seals) and have sailed past every MOT since. Worth a try for a couple of quid. |

Same here, advisory on MOT 2 years ago regarding slight weep on power steering, purchased slick 50 power steering fluid in front of me now, only used about 1/3 Protects against wear, Stops leaks, not had to top up since! cost me £6.99 from motor world. Job done!
