Hi Vaughan.
Make sure you get all the receipts for the parts, and also the old steering rack if you can that way you will know that the rack as been changed and not just a rubber boot, hope it all works out for you Arctic.

4 or 5 years ago I had a weep of power steering fluid on the nearside of the rack. Poured in some reconditioning fluid (swells the rubber in the seals) and have sailed past every MOT since.

Worth a try for a couple of quid.

Same here, advisory on MOT 2 years ago regarding slight weep on power steering, purchased slick 50 power steering fluid in front of me now, only used about 1/3 Protects against wear, Stops leaks, not had to top up since! cost me £6.99 from motor world. Job done!
