Default The 5,000,000th Rover

During a tour of the Longbridge site yesterday, I had the pleasure to see the 5,000,000th Rover ever built - a truly delightful 75 Connoisseur SE 2.5 in Monogram Xirallic 'supertallic', and thought I would share a few photos.

The car, having barely turned a wheel, is as good as new, down to the smell of the leather in the immaculate interior. It is as fully loaded as possible with the exception of xenon headlights which, rather oddly, were omitted in favour of the standard 'dark lense' halogen reflector lamps of late mark 1 models.

The Aubergine and cream Oxford leather interior is truly stunning and full of beautiful and interesting detailing, as well as a few surprising Project Drive reversals (such as carpeted heater closer and a real wood veneer dashboard).

Note the Aubergine seatbelts and contrasting piping on the seats.

Beautiful in every way possible !
Was the colour just called Xirallic or Xirallic Aubergine ?
I think the leather upholstery was in an 'Oyster' colour.
Just stunning.

Thanks for the pics. Didn't know it was built with this unique interior trim. Looks nice, too bad this beige/aubergine trim wasn't an option on regular 75s

Stunning, would probably rather have that than any new BMW/Audi/Jag executive saloon still.

Beautiful example.
I've often thought about having a sandstone interior, with a personal line carpet/dashboard top, and door cards, like a Rover 800 has, and seeing the 5m Rover just makes it look fantastic.
