Default Summer fun in my 'new' Rover 216 Cab!!

Hi all.

Snapped up this little gem today.

'97R 216 Cabby

Bad points...

Looks like its been repainted by a 3 year old.. Lacquer finish is very very poor. I will see if a wet sand and some G3 helps but if not I will repaint.

Did these come out the factory with such huge wheel arch gaps?? - I don't think so..check out the pictures and decide for yourself!

Has later style dash

No MOT

Wife thinks I.. a) want to take up hair dressing, b) it's a mid-life thing.

Good points

Interior leather good.

Recent hood

K-series engine has had the works, uprated gasket, oil rail etc.

Gonna start looking her over tomorrow

That’s nice! - I remember my 214SLi with very fond memories!! After years of driving Fords and Vauxhalls the Rover was a huge improvement in all areas.

I think the “knockers” forget just how good these Rover/Honda cars were. And if it has the 1.4 K series then from my experience - I would say that was the best one!

Good to see one going to a good home!
