Inertia Switch
Hi everyone,
My 75 was involved in a motorway accident most likely a total loss it is an X reg Conny v6 auto thankfully it did its job and kept me safe! today the insurance company is bringing it back home to see what I will do with it. At the accident, the hazards went off so I think Inertia Switch was activated the car did start a couple of times after the accident but then it acted like it was out of fuel. My question would be how do I reset the Inertia Switch so I can start it and manoeuvre it onto my driveway? Kind Regards, Last edited by thanos.m; 4th July 2019 at 12:35.. |

Yes it obviously did its function because during impact the inertia switch gets triggered, turns on the hazard lights and lights up the interior courtesy light, the inertia switch is found on the passenger-side a post at the bottom you will find it easier if you remove the plastic kick panel where your shins are that has a diagram of the fuse box on it, you will then noticed the inertia switch to your left it is black in colour with a round rubber button on the top that needs pressing down

We found it was easier to access the inertia switch by taking the glove box out.

Mick is correct in what he says, the thing you are looking for looks like this......
And pushing down on the rubber cap will reset it Brian |
