It is still a great car to drive (and to look at).
It does look lovely Jarno. And I've never noticed one in this colour on the road.

I am using a Nikon D5100 DSLR (in this case with a Nikon 18-55 VR lens).

Mrs D is looking to replace her D40X with one of those!

Would you recommend it?

I have upgraded from a Nikon D60 to a D5100 and the D5100 is definitely a big improvement over the D60. The D5100 performs much better in low-light conditions, the overall image quality is better and the ''live view'' mode and vari-angle monitor can be very handy when shooting from different angles or using a tripod. The weight and dimensions of the camera are similar to the D60, which I think is an advantage of the D5100 over the D7000.

The camera can also deliver very high quality videos, but don't expect it to replace you normal video camera. The autofocus isn't very good so you will have to use the manual focus to get good results, which is something you have to get used to. However, if Mrs D is willing to experiment with this function, the camera can deliver amazing videos.

So yes, I would definitely recommend the D5100!

Thanks for that!

I bought her the D40X nearly 5 years ago and we've both been very pleased with it!

She has a 55-200 AF-S lens as well, which I think will work with the D5100!

It has been more than 2.5 years since we've got the 75 and what a great car it still is. The car has just covered 130.000 km (+- 80.000 miles) and has been great over last period. Last year only the stater motor needed to be replaced next to regular servicing and apart from that the car behaved perfectly.

I have just come back from a 3.000 km holiday to the south of France and back and it was a joy to use the 75; it is so comfortable that even a 12 hour drive is not tiresome. Some recent pictures of the car:
