sad situation.
Due to a change in plan with regards to a recent house move falling through, I have had to.come to the sad conclusion that my 75 v6 will have to go. I do quite a few miles and with the Mrs using the mondeo I need something more fuel efficient. Was wondering if anyone was interested in buying my 75 v6 conn with ten months mot? Or if anyone was thinking of selling a cdti 75 or zt to replace mine? Don't really want to give up on ownership completely, just buy a more fuel efficient and possibley newer car.

Thanks, havnt really completely decided what I want to do so don't want to advertise it for definite just yet, just wanted to test the water and maybe get a few opinions. Is the cdti substantialy more economical than the v6? Will I be paying much more? Etc

Have you considered having it converted to LPG?

1st one averaged about 48mpg 2nd one about 44 3rd one about 47. This one is a CDTI and the difference in drivability is huge. Lots more power than the CDT. |

Thankyou. I ideally want to remain in 75 or zt ownership.

A good quality conversion will cost around £1500, if you're getting it done professionally. A lot of the places that do them are just fitters, not engineers, and thus, their conversions can be very poor. It's worth paying more initially for a good LPG conversion than constantly having to get a poor one sorted. My parents have their 75 on LPG, and it goes brilliantly. If you're getting a conversion, it's a good idea to thoroughly look over your car, and decide how long it's going to last, as you need a wee while for the conversion cost to be covered, usually not that long, if you use the car a lot.
Both LPG, or a change of car could work well. It just depends how much you like your current example, and whether or not you fancy a change. |
