Default sad situation.

Due to a change in plan with regards to a recent house move falling through, I have had to.come to the sad conclusion that my 75 v6 will have to go. I do quite a few miles and with the Mrs using the mondeo I need something more fuel efficient. Was wondering if anyone was interested in buying my 75 v6 conn with ten months mot? Or if anyone was thinking of selling a cdti 75 or zt to replace mine? Don't really want to give up on ownership completely, just buy a more fuel efficient and possibley newer car.

Wrong place to put this mate. If you want those looking for a purchase to view it you would be better putting it on for sale section. Also stays on top Page there longer. A day or two here and it will end up on Page 3 or 4. Looks good but post more info and photos so folk can see what it is like. You must however put on a price.

Thanks, havnt really completely decided what I want to do so don't want to advertise it for definite just yet, just wanted to test the water and maybe get a few opinions. Is the cdti substantialy more economical than the v6? Will I be paying much more? Etc

Have you considered having it converted to LPG?

Im on my 3rd CDT.
1st one averaged about 48mpg
2nd one about 44
3rd one about 47. This one is a CDTI and the difference in drivability is huge. Lots more power than the CDT.

Thats better than my mk4 mondeo tdci. Similar to my old 3 series BMW. Same engine I think.

Unfortnately I have no idea, but I'm sure someone will be along shortly who does.

Then way up the pro's and con's. Taking into consideration other things apart from costs?

Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Thankyou. I ideally want to remain in 75 or zt ownership.

A good quality conversion will cost around £1500, if you're getting it done professionally. A lot of the places that do them are just fitters, not engineers, and thus, their conversions can be very poor. It's worth paying more initially for a good LPG conversion than constantly having to get a poor one sorted. My parents have their 75 on LPG, and it goes brilliantly. If you're getting a conversion, it's a good idea to thoroughly look over your car, and decide how long it's going to last, as you need a wee while for the conversion cost to be covered, usually not that long, if you use the car a lot.
Both LPG, or a change of car could work well. It just depends how much you like your current example, and whether or not you fancy a change.
