Default Cigarette Lighter

How can I remove the cigarette lighter socket without causing damage, it seems to be well encased in it's plastic surround. Is it a screw fitting or clipped? Help please I need to replace it.

Thanks

You need to remove the complete lower assemby ( There is a how to somewhere...)

It's two clips and 2 screws and the whole lot comes out in one go.

Then you can take out the cigarette lighter.

The whole ashtray / cupholder / lighter assembly is held by plastic clips and just pops out.

To ease it out, you'd need to remove the panel above it so that you can get your hand down the back to assist it.

Be careful when re-fitting as the wiring can become trapped, stopping the cigarette lighter from emerging properly.

Cool

How quick is this service - BRILLIANT!

Will take a closer look on the weekend and hopefully it won't be too stressful.

Cool ciggy lighter missing

My whole cig lighter is missing - i just have a flap that opens - none of the gubbins is there - is it possible to get the lighter components without having to buy a whole ashtray/cupholder?

Cheers
