I feel that we are the worst people to judge the desirability of a new car. After all, we cherish cars that very few members of the public actually purchased.
I personally don't like mid-size SUV type vehicles - in my view there are only two SUVs levels worthy of consideration. Those that only arms/drug smuglers or investment bankers can afford and those that are covered in farm muck. Everything in-berween is just "I want to dress in a catwalk style garment from Primark" territory. IMO the new MG looks much like any other mid-size SUV and is far more attractive than some rather successful ones e.g Nissan Juke. Perhaps the oen thing that may hold it back in the UK is the MG name. For success here, it needs to have a German or far-eastern sounding name. Perhaps MIA or Myota? I believe it will sell in small but gradually increasing numbers as any new/recent manufacturer. I probably would not buy one - I am holding out for the import/export business to pick up again so that I can afford the real thing |

I was making a tongue in cheek comment in my previous post.
