Intention is to have it back up and running in the new year, after a bit of work, and I suspect a bit of Wonga on parts will need to be spent, but all in all, will be worth it I hope. Intend to get wheels refurbished as well in the new year Stu |

A couple more hours in the man cave tonight, stripped wheel arch liners out, of front (plastic clips were gone), so will need 10 new one. (the list is continuing to mount)
A few bits from under the car have been removed, ready to go to get powder coated, but still a few more before I make the trip Front brakes taken off (well nearly, calipers are off, but one discs has a ceased retaining screw, heated up, but refusing to budge, so am going to have to drill it out. Have cleaned all the front subframe, and wheel arches with scrubbing brush, ready to start painting in about a week Will post up some photo's tomorrow when it is a bit lighter, and I can see better Stu |

Update
Today I spent a bit of time removing the two rear wheel arch liners, and the brake discs with the knackered Torx Screw (what a nightmare that was, but eventually got it off, have cleaned the front two sides a bit and coated ,most with Krust, and tied brake calipers up out of the way with cable ties, but need to get some stone chip paint, and do the wheel arches, and of course clean the wheel arch lines, as they are full of tar, so will most probably either use white spirits or some petrol to clean them up, also spent about an hour cleaning the gearbox, and then dusted it with a coat of silver wheel paint
Also removed a few other metal bits, one from inside rear wheel arch, and cleaned up the rear arches with an APC and scrubbibng brush, loads of dirt removed, and it was a messy job, so will be going to pay a visit to powder coaters this week Also fitted new boot seal as well, as the old seal was split, and torn, so that it going in the bin Stu Last edited by Fusilier; 13th October 2013 at 18:35.. |
