Wanted a CD changer complete & 100% functional
Mine doesn't work any more: it can't eject and even sometimes I succeed in the end it cannot read properly.
I feel frustrated. Some are available in France but nobody gives any guarantee and I don't want to buy another one as broken as mine, do I? I would love to keep stock every feature within the car. Anybody a good one? Thanks a lot.

Thanks @trikey.
Very much so! If that helps my KV6 is an early one. I assume that my genuine 6 CD changer is an Alpine, but it's of no use I take it off if I haven't a good one to swap with.

I've taken a few apart, regreased them with lithium grease, and they're good for many more years. Definitely worth doing. Let me know if you come back via Poole ferry, and it can be done on the spot. Last edited by MarkS; 7th August 2021 at 22:57.. |

Hello Mark.
Could you provide say a pic or a sketch and indicate on it the precise spots that need to be lubricated? Is it doable to do so in place when the cd tray is out or do I need to take apart the whole changer out of the glovebox? Thanks a lot. N.B. As I'm living in the South West of France, Poole ferry looks rather far from home, even I've crossed the Channel 7 times since 1963. My last trip took place in 2014 but by plane. BTW as you may have guessed my maternal ancestors came from... Dorset!
