Took my 2 cocker spaniels out in the back of my newly bought MG ZT-T 1.8 for the first time for a walk in the woods about 10 miles away. Dogs and I had a lovely early evening walk and the car behaved itself! I had an issue with it getting a bit warm before, not overheating, but temp gauge went higher than normal, then the fan would cut in and it went back to normal again. Fan didn't cut in today, temp stayed on normal. It's a lovely car to drive, recently had a new clutch fitted before I bought it. It was an impulse buy on ebay, but so far I'm enjoying the car. I also have a 2006 Smart Forfour which I have owned from new and is my main car. The Smart is great, but I sort of fancied a bigger car! I can't afford to keep both cars, I have them both insured for a month, then I have to decide whether to keep the MG and sell the Smart or keep the Smart and sell the MG. I'm loving the MG right now, but it has only a bit of service history and from posts on here I know these cars can be troublesome and costly to keep on the road. The Smart has full service history and I know I can rely on it to get me anywhere at anytime. Mind you the MG starts on the button. Think I'll just have fun with my ZT for a few weeks and then maybe sell it on. Still not certain though....

Broke down in the vitesse and had the RAC tow me home then had to fit a new fuel pump to it, then did an oil change in the ZTT and while trying to undo the sump plug discovered that my bottom mount may be shot as the engine was rocking a good bit when pulling on the spanner

LED interior lights and replacement torpedo (who nicked my old one?) fitted this afternoon. Plus a bit more setting up of my Torque Pro and bluetooth adaptor. (For an android Teknophobe that's pretty good going!)

Default Todays agenda

Today my local independent (Millers Garage Newbury) fitted to my ZT-T 190:

New front pipe and cat purchased from eBay for £110 (cured the bad rattle)
New stainless steel lower coolant pipe (as advised by gazza190 when he did the cam belts last year)
New upper breather pipe (as advised by gazza190)
2 rear control link arms - cured my rear end knock
1 NS Headlight (broken mounts glued back in place by Millers to pass last MOT)

What a difference that new Catalytic converter has made. It growls now.

I paid far too much for this car, but I love her.

Noticed my reverse parking sensors not working correctly for the first time... constant "Bleep" when reverse selected when nothing is behind the car....time for rear bumper to come off to investigate I think!!

Also, took delivery of a pair (left and right) of rear suspension arms from DMGRS....for stock in case I need in the future...
