Default Sideways :)

I let it catch me out today

Dry, nice fast left hander, no oncoming traffic, Silver Ferrari some way back in my rear mirror, third gear and whoops well sideways

Very controllable, so I turned around and tried it the other way, haven't had so much fun in ages.

Anyway got back to the Mere and stopped to feed the Ducks, guy in the Silver Ferrari pulled up behind a few minutes later and asked what the car was he seemed genuinely amazed and obviously was quite surprised when I suggested my car was probably rarer than his!

All performed on a private road of course

I don't think there is any "probably" about it to be honest, I see a Ferrari every week, don't think I've EVER seen a 260!

Private road! never go near them as you are immediately not insured which makes things a bit grim if you wrap it around a tree at least on public roads you can make up a plausible excuse

In my youth when furry critters outweighed ones will for self preservation I once spun my Triumph 2000 through 720 degrees on a country lane whilst trying to avoid a Cat.

Despite my efforts the Cat lost I decapitated it with the front number plate fortunately I did not touch either bank in the lane (still to this day not sure how) but just imagine trying to explain that to an Insurance company.

John now you know why I didn't even try to avoid the rabbit when I took you for a run last week!

Actually Rich it was a Silver Ferrari so thats sort of rarer, it had a posy V8 xxx number plate on it though so not sure what model it was, mine is a bit more discreet.

Not directly related but the guy I bought it from had some pics of the needle on the speed limiter somewhere in Norway, I prefer to concentrate on where I am going at speed

One of the guys on XPF or maybe it is on Two-Sixties has a link to a nice little vidoe where you can hear a bit of wheel spin as he pulls away and then again in second and a slight squeak can be heard going up to third.

Doesn't matter how many horses you've got, nothing beats sideways does it mate.
Always prefered RWD myself for all the wrong reasons:SHOCKED:

Getting strongly drawn to drifting contests myself if it wasn't for the max power paint jobs!!!!

Would love a RWD just for the sheer fun and exhilerhation... Damnit.. now look what you made me go and do... I've opened several new Tabs in Firefox searching for 260's.....
