They're going to have a go at running a Sunday bus service depending on local road conditions.

The girls love the snow. They're sitting at the back door giving me a "go on, let us out" look. Trouble is they come back in with little balls on snow stuck to them and have to spend ages plucking them off.

Thinking back to the winter of '62-'63, I am sure you would have been stranded in your house as the old road running past your door was blocked for weeks. The snow drifted halfway up the wall opposite the Mining Museum. The wall must be about 20 feet high. Only way east was via Wallyford.

Been pretty much stranded the last couple of days as it is. Had to get a repeat prescription yesterday, no buses running. Got my taxi mate to take me along to the shops. When I got there I thought it isn't that bad really, I'll walk home . . . . what a ****** stupid idea that was! It was fine until I got to the outskirts of the town, from there I was trudging through 10-12" deep snow for about ¾ of a mile, that was blo0dy hard work!

I thought I'll get out, get the lottery and some stuff in for Ging coming home tomorrow, or hopefully coming home tomorrow weather permitting. Seems the buses are operating a "make it up as you go along" service! Began to wonder as I haven't seen a bus passing, for some reason they're terminating at a roundabout two miles up the road, not coming along here. Road past the cottages looks ok, traffic flowing no problem Ah well, I've got cigs, I've got food and most importantly the girls have food.
