Well it's not the guy I purchased it from.

I think it may be Keith Dickens, who had two 180 ZTT's so don't know which one he's on about.

It was Keith Dickens car, who is a wheel refurbisher in Huntingdon, which also explains the horrendous aftermarket 19" wheels currently fitted.

It will look loads better when you get a set of Apexes on there

So who was the owner when the alleged "crack liner" was unearthed?

Probably the bloke you bought it from, heaven knows, but it is certainly not a car you would forget, and Dave seemed to know a bit more about it than the person you bought it off was letting on

So why is the car at Gary's place then?

You know why it's there, you said yourself to get fixed.

Except Gary is pretty sure it's not a cracked liner.

Only time will tell.

Well there you go, just needs an oil and filter change then, Gary didn't allude to why you'd dumped it in his yard, and I wasn't interested particularly as I was there to do a job on one of his cars

So where is the spare key I made for your dad's old tourer to save Gary whinging at me every time I head south?

At my house. The actual key was loose and has fell out somewhere and I can't for the life of me find it, but I've got the case and transponder.

I actually like those wheels. Not entirely sure what that says about my tastes though. I have Serpents on which actually sold the car to me as they looked so awesome, but I do like the paintwork on them rims. Maybe I can get the Serpents done the same....

It's each to their own mate.

This is the first MG I've owned that people have come up to me and said how much they love the car, and even comment on the wheels. They think it cost me stupid amounts of money to buy.

It's more satisfying then praise from the clubs to be honest, as joe public never saw MGR in the best light, hence the lack of sales when new!

For me, it makes the wheels worth keeping.

Cheers
Robson
