Haven't had any instructions relating to Thursday! Are you doing anything today? I'm stuck indoors waiting for a couple of parcels to be collected.

This is what we discovered after removing Graham's level sensor fitted tank. As you can see the fitting for the sensor is quite badly cracked, water was peeing out when Graham arrived at mine!
I'll have a think, may be repairable, don't know? |

What is puzzling about the split is the material is rock hard. Normally with a crack like that there is some spring in the material but no matter how much force you exert you cannot close the gap

Looking forward to seeing photos of the solution for this crack/fracture as feedback on the sensor and overall system is good when without leaking fault.

Update to leaking header tank.
As is now visible the block where the thread screws into has cracked, however with the help of Stevestrat the old header tank was fitted and topped up, thankfully when I arrived home the coolant level remained constant with no leaks.

Yes I have and his reply was if I send him the header tank, he will try and repair by replacing the block has has cracked with a larger/thicker moulding as he said it would be a shame to abandon the lever sensor as it was expensive.
I will e mail his reply to you.
