Parking distance control problem
Hi, two of my parking sensors weren't working so I replaced all 4. This stopped the long error code when selecting R, and all 4 sensors now 'tick' when reverse is engaged and ignition is on, however I get nothing from the speaker. No initial blip to say the system is engaged, and nothing when something is close to the rear bumper.
I tried a different PDC ECU, but that didn't resolve the problem either. Wiring/connectors all in good condition. Have run out of things to try. Any suggestions from you knowledgeable people greatly appreciated! Thanks, John |

Part 2:
For BOTH PDC ECUs, if I connect up TOAF and make any change to the configuration and save it, the PDC starts working as long as I don't turn the ignition to off. As soon as I turn it to off, the PDC stops working. I can 'fix' it, by making another change in TOAF and saving it. It wasn't working prior to me using TOAF to query the PDC ECU, so don't believe TOAF has broken anything. It's weird though, as if making a data change 'wakes up' the ECU, but then it doesn't stay that way. Again, any suggestions as to how to fix greatly appreciated. Maybe two faulty ECUs? |

Well you aren't alone John - Rsnail had a similar problem here:
https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...ght=PDC&page=2 He too was using TOAF so that could maybe have something to do with it. Might be worth sending him a PM to see if he sorted it. |
