Wash wipe not working
Hi,
Pulling in the right stalk makes the wipers come on but no noise from motor so no wash Would that be relays or fuse ? Thanks Last edited by peelaaa; 17th December 2022 at 23:34.. |

So when you operate the wash/wipe, does the wipe not work, or the wash not work, or both ?

Just the wash doesn't work and the washer motor is silent.
Wipers are fine |

Fixed. The washer motor fuse had blown, probably due to the frost earlier in week.

It could be the fuse, so check this first. However in times of low temperatures we have had and if the correct concentration of washer antifreeze hasn't been added, the water in the washer bottle can freeze completely, the pump can't turn and if your lucky blows the fuse, (obviously other things can cause the fuse to blow.) If the fuse has blown, replace it, try the wash, if the fuse blows again there is a possibility that the bottle is frozen, though it is difficult to see, the thing then is to wait until the bottle is completely thawed, replace the fuse and try again, if all's well and the pump works OK, if not then it will need investigating further, first check at the pump plug that you are actually getting battery voltage when the wash is operated, if not the washer circuit will need checking, if you do get battery voltage then the pump will need checking.
