Yes, I spoke to John in March this year and the project is coming along nicely. He has acquired so much material that he is going to make this one a 2 disc special and it will be available on Blu Ray HD as well as DVD.

OVP appears in it along with many shots he recorded of members cars at the National Meet at the Fleet Air Arm Museum last year, along with Roverfest.

John has also filmed our stand at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC and interviewed many people involved with the car's original design and inception.

There is still a lot of editing to complete, but John is aiming to have the documentary ready for sale in 2021

Here are a couple of shots from filming last August of OVP with David Waide the Chief Engineer of both the car's systems and the design of the tooling required to assemble it and service it at the dealerships, Mike Kinnear the Rover 75 Programme Planner in charge of logistics at Cowley and Longbridge and Peter Morgan the R40 Project Manager in charge of the entire project from the idea to the finished production vehicle. Three very senior men without whom we would not have had the cars we own today, and all full of fascinating stories.

This is going to be a very special film once complete and a must have for anyone interested in the history and development of the R40.
