Hi

Don't be silly. It is obviously a giant sink plunger, 2 food blender blades and a thingymajig. You may be correct about the boomerang though. I just hope I never argue with the owner. He must be huge!

I would have said three speed fan and fan blade, ABS module, thermostats and housings, front suspension,McPherson strut and lower track control arm, from a CDT, not sure on the belt and idler /tensioner pulley possibly from a 1.8, oops forgot the rear spring.

Well Johnny
I'll give you that as it was a bit unfair !
The belt tensioner is from a 2.5V6 (the large belt would have been the clue but I always advise the owners to take the main belt with them as evidence it has been changed if they come to sell) !

The different Stat housings are from a KV6 & a CDTi

PM your address and I'll send you the prize

Good luck
Jules

Default Recent floods

Attention all Petrol variants. (execpt V8)
Watch those large puddles now !

Check your Shannon tubes/ducts below the Air filter box.
http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=68958

The OEM black type have a habit of disintegrating after 60k miles, usually splitting open at the lowest point. (leaving your engine very vulnerable to ingesting water)

Until you can get one delivered and fitted my advice is to remove the duct all together (screws off)
The bottom inlet of the airbox is at a fairly decent height and certainly higher than a leaking duct.

The original ducts are rather like soggy cardboard after they get wet!

Default Bonnet divider block revisited

We are still seeing many cases of unmodified bonnet releases!!
Amazing they haven't "popped" out yet.

If your single cable going into the divider block looks like this with the cable touching the inner wing.

Attend to it now !!!
Other wise the next time you pull the release it will go TWANG

You have to put a 5mm slice of 5/8 fuel pipe onto the single cable or 15- 20 turns of tape (to act as a packing spacer)
Either method will keep the cable in it's place at the end of the slotted hole.

Before reassembly reverse the inner block so the slots are facing the engine.

Finally
Grease the cables going into the catch mechanisms

As seen here behind the rubber block which sits on top of radiator.
The cables on diesels suffer more than petrol versions due to less heat around the radiator to dry any moisture which gets into the catches.

Grease here now today!!
It's very easy

So after today I don't want to hear about any more problems with divider blocks or broken cables ok folks ?!!!
There are of course other effective methods which various members have come up with.

This above method had been applied to over 2000 member's cars which have been here over the last 5 years.
Our own ZT was modified in 2006 and has not failed so proof it works!
I don't charge for this service if your car is here for other work

Tasks lined up today so far........

Send a Kenlowe cooling kit to New Zealand .......guess it's hot there

Dealing with another flooded ECM on a CDTi .
Shame the recent new owner didn't know about the drains!
And an even bigger shame the full service history car hadn't had them checked for a long time (tut tut garage !!)
We all know how to stop the debris entering the plenum area don't we?!

Finally later on fitting a new lower mount (Japanese type) to a KV6 2.0 manual transmission.
The rubber is way softer than a diesel mount so only time will tell for owners fitting these to diesels.
I think the mount will be operating on it's "end stops" most of the time.
Might be ok in an Auto

Exclamation Spare key

Just bought a nice Copperleaf Connoisseur very low mileage with Aubergine personalised leather...............only one key.

However I wrote to the previous owner who sold it over a year ago and said yes he has it in his kitchen drawer !!

So you see it pays to chase these things.
His kindness forwarding it on to me just saved me a packet so I sent the kind old Gent £10 of lottery tickets for his trouble.
Hope he wins
