Have used a Pure Highway for a long time now, first in my Jaguar X300 then moved it to my Rover 75 CDT.

http://www.pure.com/product/highway-vl-60905/

Works well, the aerial could be better, upgrades can be found at

http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/dab_car_aerials.html

which is what I'll be doing in the near future.

Hope this helps.

Charles

I had a DAB in my Focus paid around £200 for it and the reception was really good, he odd drop out but nothing to concerning. I tried a pure highway in the 75 and found it next to useless, could just be my locality of course. I'm on the three network and now stream radio from my iPhone via bluetooth and have found this the best solution for me, very little drop out and since BBC iplayer had an upgrade its been even better. The technology is improving and is probably the way forward.

I have been looking into changing the standard Kenwood for one with DAB and a front or rear USB, have not done anything about it yet though.
The only issue I can see with the Pure DAB is where to mount it, I lift share and the chap has one it is good but he too has had to replace the magnetic aerial on the roof as it rotted. I personally prefer it built into a stereo, less clutter etc.

My only concern with DAB is where to put the aerial. To get the best reception it seems one needs an external roof / glass mount which I really don't want to do as it spoils the line of the car. Equally I don't want an aerial stuck to my windscreen.

Has anybody used the FM converter leads supplied at the link posted by Charles??

Tony.

I had a setup from DAB On Wheels on my old MR-2. Had one of their FM adaptors and it worked great. However, you cant use them on amplified aerials like on our cars. Not sure why though but no doubt someone will know.
