The site was in a pretty bad way when we went, a few weeks later it suffered a rather large fire in the pub and surrounding buildings, I shall have to pop back and see what it looks like now.

The population of India is 21.5 times that of the United Kingdom; they are financially a very poor Nation, therefore lacking in health care and many more not receiving what we would consider a decent education.
However, the "great British public"do create some odd spectacles. I am so lucky that I was born here in England, and have lived through what I believe to have been the best of times. We have a fantastic Country with endless opportunities to investigate locations for entertainment. Why ,when India is not alone in the world in not being able to cope with the pandemic, would anybody contemplate going abroad? But, that's me. |

One of my customers visits South America usually every year, in her words ''they love it out there''. She was telling me they are hoping to get out there later this year, I think she will have a big shock if they are aloud.
They were saying on the One Show last night it is going to cost a family of four £1200 to get all the required testing done on there return. That could easily double the cost of a cheap week on the beach in some places and I expect with the places limited the cheap week on a beach will be far from that. We have a great country, I wonder how many people who ''must have a foreign holiday every year'' have actually explored the UK? Cornwall, Devon and the Lake District are just the ones that come immediately to mind. We have some great holidays in the UK, we once had a week in North Wales and we must return. There is a lot to be said in just loading the car up arriving there several hours later and the holiday starts, we have all spent a day either end of the holiday getting too and getting home and feeling you need another holiday by the time you open your front door on the return. We once spent a day and half getting to a Greek Island because the aircraft was late and we missed the last ferry to the island and then on our return we got diverted and had to spend a night in a German airport waiting for a replacement aircraft that was only going to be a couple of hours. We arrived home 30 hours after we had left exhausted. |
