Default The 999999 odometer problem

See previous thread on cdt wont start!

I'm left with the problem of the 999999 odometer - due I understand to a voltage surge at some point.

I would like to fix this. Can the experts advise me please? Can it be fixed if I send the IPK and light module to an expert for repair, or does the whole car need to attend?

BigRuss I sent you a pm on this after your help but I don't think you saw it yet.

thank you!

Jim

Hi Jim.
I think you need to be talking to Marinabrian,Big Russ, Jamie, etc those are the people whom most likely can correct the IPK for you with a virgin one and using the T4

PS Andy be me to it but i have added a couple more names.

Is there a fix for this issue as I have recently had the misfortune of a faulty alternator causing battery failure recently. I got a jump start but the 9999999 odometer reading has appeared.

Hello Ken, the jump start has caused a voltage spike which has corrupted the EEPROM memory. It's not something you can usually fix yourself. Access to a T4 is needed, hence the previous suggestions to contact the T4 owners on and around the forum.
