Morning, got the sun but not got any heat to go with it. Like a zombie this morning, two nights of bad. restless sleep. Been "instructed" to make another batch of Filipino bread rolls, pandesal, so that's most of the day mapped out.

Back from In Laws.

Why, oh why, oh why can't some trades do a decent job .

Found the problem - a half brick, split in two - wedged behind the fascia. Must have been done when the garaged was re roofed a couple of weeks ago.

Fortunately managed to tease them out - with the aid of a pry bar .

All back in place - with a few new oval nails for good measure - which I got the OK for as it seems that maybe, perhaps, that's how it was put up in the first place .

Waiting for the dough to do its "Quatermass" bit and rise. Had it in the sun on the window ledge but its not hot enough, now sitting on an oil radiator heater in the lounge. Needs to double in size, divide it into individual "rolls", rise again then bake.

Afternoon all aftrr seeing mum this afternoon its looking like she will now need permanent care, she needs prompted for almost everthing now .When I first arrived she couldn't remember my name.

Evening all, a nice long dog walk around Rendlesham forest, quite cold but coffee and a sausage sandwich warmed things up nicely at the end of the walk.

That's so sad and tough to deal with.

On the practical side, make sure that all the paperwork for her is thoroughly, carefully and correctly completed. What happens next, the amount of care she receives and who pays for which bits will be dependent on what's recorded in that paperwork.

Here's the result of today's efforts before I put them in a container. Twenty one Filipino pandesal, there were twenty four but three have mysteriously disappeared already



Not unlike bread rolls only sweeter.
