I didn't start to replace my rear arms as I just haven't got the fitness to tackle the job whilst I recover from long Covid, so I popped over to see Dave Johnson to see if he can book me in. I had a nice surprise as he had a visitor as in the OP of this thread also known as our T4 genius from the peoples republic of North Tyneside ! Lots of helpful advice given as usual and as I've been feeling a bit low about my health , he really lifted my spirits.

PS He has inspected the new arms from DMGR and is very impressed with the quality and yes , they pass the Mr Kippling test ! LOL !

We now have a working extractor hood, hob and oven in new units. Unfortunately they don't have any handles on yet and the plinths will have to wait until the rest of the units and the flooring is done. My ribs still hurt from slipping off the steps but doing more DIY takes my mind off it! "She" has a big smile on her face as it now looks less like a building site and more like a kitchen! More self assembly tomorrow, following instructions that get more laughable as the job progresses.................... ("How can that possibly go there? It fouls this!" "See! I told you so!")

Default Today I...

I worked on a roof of a warehouse full of classic car parts, it's a big job and will take months to make watertight. In conversation I found out that there is a village hall with a car park big enough for a meet, I'm going to pass the details on to Reebs for a possible meeting place, it's in a little village between the M65 and M6 close to Blackburn. I'm told for a small fee we can have a meet and be served with pie and peas right out of the oven! it's got to be on the list I reckon.

Put the wee TF through its MOT after 2 years (don't know about mainland GB - we had exemptions here because of the virus) with some trepidation... straight through and out the other end without so much as an advisory

That's three in a row
