Default Remote Locking

Hi,
My remote locking works alright (sort of) BUT I have to press the button a couple of times at least just to open the drivers door, changed the battery, tried spare key and thats the same, it also won't lock the car from more that 5 feet, is this normal or is something amiss, any ideas guys, Thanks.

Mine will only lock the door due to a detached micro switch on the open button but has a very short range even with a new battery.

Don't know if this is normal though.

I seem to remember something about them repositioning the remote receiver to improve the reception. Old position was in the dash dront end o the centre console, new position by the handbrake bracket. Some have repostioned theirs to improve range.

Depending upon location, I can get up to 50yds with a minimum of 50 feet.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
