Just converted the UK number plate to Spanish one
Rover 75 Tourer 2001 Diesel 2.0 Auto (116)
Costs: 1. New set of front headlights - 180 ( 90 each) 2. Replacing the headlights - 60 3. Technical Engineer arriving from Valencia, looking and checking the legality of the car (including taking photos of the car and its labels) - 120 4. ITV - (Spanish MOT) 110.86 (no normal cost because it is a "Usados Importacion") 5. Valencia - Treasury and Traffic taxes - 462.25 6. Local (Ontinyent) Tax - 107.91 (yearly) The bottom line is a nice lunch-for-two change from a 1000. The alternative was: Take the car to UK (£700+), after paying the road tax (£250) and doing the MOT (£60) Yearly insurance in Spain is 400 - comprehensive with full travel assistance. In the UK this is £704 without travel assistance. |
