Default Checking to see if your old cars alive...

This morning I did something I said I wouldn't.

I checked to see if my old car was still alive via the .gov tax checker
I was greeted by this...

'Vehicle details could not be found Vehicle details could not be found as it has not been possible to locate the vehicle details, your enquiry cannot proceed and has been cancelled.'

She was a MKI ZR TD.At point of sale 9 months ago she had 96k on the clock.
Ran perfect as to be expected of a well services L series at that mileage.

Brand new wings (they rust).
MKII rear end with matching skirts (repainted a year ago).

Car was in good nick.

So.

What does this mean? It's off the road? Plates changed?

I'd be gutted if she'd been scrapped/broken.

All my vehicles from the year dot come up, except ones that had a registration number change.
I think that it might be that.

Hope it's the reg change.
Only reason I did it was because my reg changed last night so I was checking it had all gone through ok.
Fingers crossed she'll surface somewhere

I chose MG, it's worked before. Just tried Rover and had no joy unfortunately.

just checked mine under my old reg as I've just recently registered my private plate and got the same message as you. Looks like someone may have treated your old ZR to a private reg

Really hope so! She was certainly not ready for the scrap heap though I do know a few of her goodies have been taken off and sold. Boooo!

What's your new plate, I think it's fairly similar to mine which is...

R19PE J (My names James Rippe so it's like like Rippe J)

It must be still on the road but just had the reg changed, if it was scrapped or sorn the gov website would just say that the MOT and Tax has expired, it wouldn't lose the data

Yeah yours is quite close, mines R19 KMG, so like Rick MG

Hi Rick. Saw the ZT on the M25 today (I was driving the pearl black but slightly grubby MG TF). Car looked fab, hope you are well buddy.
