Kaiser thermostat kit
Hi all, I have just received my new thermostat kit from kaiser. Can anyone tell me if I have to change the thermostat unit inside to a higher opening temperature item as I have heard lot's of conflicting information concerning this. Thanks. Stevie.

Hello Stevie,
The MG Rover spec. is 88 degrees. I understand that Kaiser's is 82 degrees. Whilst that might be suitable for the climate in South Africa it will result in low running temperatures in the UK. I have no idea whether it's possible to obtain an 88 degree thermostat which is compatible with Kaiser's housing. Simon

If you were supposed to use another stat, don't you think it would have been fitted?
Use it as it is, your temperature will be fine.

Hi, thanks for your input. I will fit it and look forward to the reliability that it affords. Long live the Rovers. Stevie.
