Default OBD 2 scanner

Hi all,

Had a long series of problems with my car, 2004 diesel, the latest was the failure of the intake pump plus the cam sensor.
Those problems are thankfully now sorted, but recently I've had the amber engine light come on, car runs ok, but need to know what it is. So what diagnostics reader would you recommend that would be compatible with the vehicle. I have bought some obd2 in the past, ones that you plug in and with the use of an app like torque it's supposed to give you all sorts of information, but sadly they haven't worked with my car.
So what are your recommendations.

Thank you in advance,

Marc

Hi Marc.
Try removing the electric plug on the fuel filter photos below, clean with contact cleaner only, not WD40, push it on and off a few times see if that solves EML coming on.

Why not use Toaf? One cheap lead, a free (donate if you wish) program. A Godsend for us in foreign parts. In many ways superior to a T4, at least mine as the thing has a mind of its own whereas Toaf is 100% reliable. (But I hope to have news of a working T4 soon).

Regards
