Angry 2001 2.5 KV6 conn Belt squeal"doing my head in"

Hi Folks
This is what I have done to cure the dreaded squeal.
1. Replaced the alternator
2. Replaced the A/C compressor
3. Replaced the tensioner and idler pulley
4. Replaced the Drive belt (Dayco)
It happens when the A/C is on and worse at low parking speed when turning.
The power steering pump rotates fine by hand.
I am wondering if the power steering rack is"loading up with pressure"its fine when jacked up engine not running.
Tried anti squeal spray early on when problem first appeared and it did nothing.
I was parking outside a pub when a guy rushed out and said "Hey mate you have got your handbrake on!!!!"
Any advise most welcome.
Best Wishes Dan Gardner

Ideally it will need two of you and the use of great care.
You need to find exactly which pulley, pulleys are the source of the slip, with either a stethoscope or a piece of rubber tube stuck in your ear.

Have someone operate the car to repeat the squeal whilst you carefully listen near each pulley for the source and go from there.

Squeal can be caused by several problems including worn contaminated belt ( which you have replaced, ) incorrect tension, glazed or contaminated pulley faces and belt etc.
One trick that sometimes helps to determine the area is, whilst it is squealing, is to lightly spray or pour a bit of water on the belt on both surfaces to lubricate it and stop the squeal, which after this treatment usually comes back as a light twittering noise which then develops into the squeal and makes it a bit easier to find the culprit.

You've narrowed the search to anything related to the A/C system.
Belts only squeal when they lose grip of the surface they are running on.
Pulleys squeal/screech when they are running dry of lubricant.
You've changed the A/C compressor so that should eliminate that.

Not much left to test. Make sure the tensioners are keeping the belts under tension. Could easily be that as the noise starts when the A/C puts that extra load on the belts.
