Diesel clutch mileage?
How many miles on average are we getting out of the diesel clutch? Mine is now on 124k, and I am thinking of buying all the parts necessary for future use.
Next question, which are the best parts to buy to replace the whole lot, including the DMF.

Mine was on 200k when the original slave went pop, there was plenty of life left in the clutch plate though.
The replacement has been in for 54k now and is still ok (Watch what happens now I have said that) No need to replace the dmf unless it’s out of spec.

My clutch plate failed on the typhoon at 191k. Slave was still fine but replaced at the same time anyway.
But in comparison I can't remember when the clutch was last done on redfive but believe its on its third clutch at 163k miles. |

It would appear, as to be expected. Totally dependent on driving styles.

I think I'll still start collecting parts.
What are the best to fit?

Mine went at 188000 just after I got the car , that was the slave.
And again at 250000 , again slave failure and the garage also said the the dmf is well worn Stan

I have had my car since 6,500 miles so just me driving. First clutch went at 145,000 miles but second at 234,000. Currently all is well at 260,000. Slave cylinder fitted is the metal version. I still have the original DMF.

After taking my car to Dave Johnson in fencehouses (really, really nice guy, thanks for recommending him) I've been made aware that my car has a land rover clutch fitted. Apparently there's an associated pipe which is a slightly different shape.
