Default Tyres on the Drive

How'do folks

I have been in need of new Tyres for a minute or two

I've opted to book 4 Tyres for fitting from "Tyres on the Drive" a service offered by Halfords.

for various reasons this suits my current situation - I can remove and refit the wheels myself, and be sure they are not over tightened for starters

4 x 225x45x17 Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 - Fitted/Balanced etc. £285

I paid an extra £7.50 for a fitting between 08:00 - 12:00

wheel see how it goes tomorrow....excuse the bad pun i'm tyred

Why the surcharge? Is an afternoon slot cheaper?

Sign of the times if you allow it to happen. There is talk of charging you to enter the shops soon. They have to get their money back. Doh

I paid the extra for a 4 hour time slot - rather than the standard 08:00 to 20:00
various options are available for times with a 2 hour time slot also possible - in some cases same day fitting is possible.

i had a £50 discount on the Tyres - and don't mind paying the little extra to have them fitted within the 4 hour window - i'll still have the rest of the day to wear in the new rubber

you can have Tyres fitted while at a place of work too.

Sounds like they are aping supermarket delivery, Amazon and such!

Tyres at work? We have a number of employees who bring their spare tyre in everyday. You can also get a windscreen fitted wherever the vehicle is (I don't know if they charge for a very loose time slot). Who would have thought

Default Drive on the Tyres

Had my visit from Tyres on the Drive - 12.45

In all fairness the Gentleman phoned me well in advance to warn of the slight delay I'm Happy with the service offered.

r.e the Tyres - GoodYear efficient Grip Performance 2 - First Drive on the Tyres suggest these are a Good purchase Grip feels Great and the difference in the ride quality is very noticeable over the previous Nexen Tyres I had fitted - less road noise and comfortable over the rougher bits of "Road" (.....some should be called Trails)

Happy with my Purchase and the Service offered.

this is also the first time i've bought 4 new tyres for the Car
