I have only had the car for 3 years, and apart from the starting in drive issue is perfect, runs well and everything else works as it should. You would think someone who knows enough to replace a core would know enough to put it back in the right way around. The car has a 160 remap done prior to my ownership so i am wondering if it might be one that was done by post and whoever put it back did it wrong. Could a remap cause it to have been set up wrong at all with regards to the starting in drive? The display in the IPK correctly shows the gear selection, so it seems to know it is an auto. The ecu is clearly very tight in the plastic box, hence why i didnt fancy pulling it out. Never feel too comfortable messing with 16 year old connectors if i can avoid it. In all other respects the cables going to the box dont appear strained or out of place. Its only guys like you who have seen more than one who know its wrong. |
