Default Lack of throttle

Hi follow 75'ers,Thanks for the add. I'm new to the forum so please be gentle, I've owned a 75 connoisseur for 5 yrs with no problems a such, however, last week the throttle was unresponsive, I plugged in the code reader which indicated a throttle position sensor fault, after replacing the entire throttle with a 'working' one from greedbay, it still remains unresponsive. Is there a fuse which controls the sensor or any other faults I've overlooked or have I bought another duff pedal?

Dave did the engine revs rise when the pedal was unresponsive or was the idle speed the same as usual?
