Hi Garrett,

Just about a year ago my brother (Brabus on here) bought a ZT unseen in Dunfirmlin in Scotland. It was SORNed too. He got the loan of a transporter trailer and went over on the ferry, drove up and collected it and came back all in the one day. No bother, and it saved any possible breakdowns with an unknown car and also the problem with no TAX or MoT.

Colin

Trailer may have other benefits, you say they cut off front bumper to remove car from the gorse, that could implications if you drive it like that under construction and use / i.e. public safety, Police have been known to pull cars with dodgy front wings etc. as potentially dangerous to pedestrians.

Rab at Barrem Motors in Insch just 6 miles north of Inverurie specialises in Rover stuff and always has a few 75,s ZT's breaking. He might be able to help you out and at least patch it up to allow you to get it back home to Ireland.
