Ive averaged 46mpg brim to brim. Crossing Europe I got it up to 51mpg across 2600 miles. My ipk doesn't work so I can't see the dashs fake mpg lol.

Then the thermostat has gone its dropped to 40mpg now.

Having done a brim to brim mpg check you can then put in a correction factor so that the IPK displays your actual consumption.

The CDT regularly returned mid 40mpg and on a motorway, cruising at 65/70 mph would be around 50mpg +.
The CDTi is around 10mpg less in all ranges. No matter how gently I drive this I struggle to get it into the 40s. Certainly not worth the slightly
better performance.
Can anyone tell me if this is a normal difference between these two models.

As i do a lot of miles I will be looking for another older CDT.

Very interested in any comments,
Thanks.
Terry.

Same with Mrs Noc's 2004 Auto. You expect poorer fuel consumption with the slushbox, especially round town, but the later cars do seem to suffer more than the older ones.

Difficult when you can't read your ipk

My 52 auto tourer around 178k on the clock gives me around 20mpg town and 35mpg on the run . Had a health check everything is on the spec apart from a slight oil leak from turbo ? ( Cossie Dunc noticed it ) does it affect the mileage ?
