Are you sills rusting near the jacking pads by chance?
This guy (Thomas Hobbs is the go to man and is highly respected in the club) manufactures replacement sill parts for our cars that your local garage can weld them onto the car. He also sells sill sections on e-bay - none on at the moment so worth dropping him a line. https://www.tjhobbs.com If its anything else still the man i would go to - straight down the M1 to the North of Nottingham.

Yorkshire GOC/SILLS
Many thanks for your reply, and please forgive my tardyness in responding. I regret that my computer skills are simply inadequate for the minimum standards required to navigate your excellant web-site.
However, having found your post, I am grateful for your advice and will certainly contact the gentleman. You are quite correct in suspecting the rust is near the jacking point. I have also stumbled across another member-AdO3mgzed (posted I believe on 18/08/20) who offers to to do welding jobs. Do you by any chance have similar knowledge of this member? It may be a case of buying the sill off Hobbs and getting AdO3 to fit? Thanks again and kind regards Roy Outram |
